In conversation with Dennis Rimonti, it quickly became clear that Via Monte Napoleone represents more than upscale Italian cuisine. At the center is not only the menu, but the feeling of being seen, understood, and taken seriously as a guest. This is particularly evident in his understanding of service and brand leadership — two factors that make Via Monte Napoleone one of the most successful fine-dining concepts in Frankfurt.

“What does luxury mean to you in everyday life?”

“Luxury begins for me with small things, for example a really good coffee. I easily spend 300 to 400 euros a month on it simply because it brings me joy. Time is also luxury for me. Moments without a phone, without constant availability. That is something I consciously enjoy.”

Everyday Luxury describes moments of enjoyment in everyday life that are accessible to many people — small rewards with a special standard. Via Monte Napoleone fits exactly into this category: a restaurant that combines high-quality cuisine, personal service, and a stylish atmosphere in a way that allows people to treat themselves even in everyday life, whether during a business lunch or dinner on a Saturday evening.

And as a guest? When did you personally feel true luxury?

“As a child, I often stayed at a hotel in Switzerland with my family. I still remember how, after swimming, you were immediately handed a warm towel. That was luxury for me, because it wasn’t something you could take for granted. Small gestures, big impact.”

“How did the concept of Via Monte Napoleone come about?”

“The idea came with a friend. We wanted a high-quality Italian concept with clear branding. We opened in 2019, then Corona happened. But we persevered and later even opened our second restaurant, ‘Casa de Rose’. Today, Via Monte Napoleone belongs to me alone, and it’s doing better than ever.”

“What is your personal luxury dream?”

“Building a franchise with locations in London or New York. I am certain that our concept would also work internationally. It’s about genuine hospitality, high-quality cuisine, and an ambiance that touches people. That works anywhere in the world.”

“What drives your success?”

“Clearly: presence, quality, and personality. We focus on seasonal cuisine, emotional storytelling, and a clear brand identity. We specifically address people who regularly go out to eat well and who value atmosphere, discretion, and service.”

“Who are your typical guests?”

“We are very active in the B2B sector. From Monday to Thursday, many business dinners take place — from consultants to law firms to executives. For them, we offer separate rooms with the right ambiance. Major decisions are often made here, and for that you need a place with class and calm.”

“What does your marketing look like today?”

“In the past, we posted classic food photos. Today I show myself: honest, direct, without a facade. I am convinced that authenticity has a stronger long-term impact than perfect staging. People notice whether you are real.”

“What did you take away from your family history?”

“My father was a disciplined and focused person. He was never dazzled, always structured. I carry that mindset with me, but with my own signature.”
